VIBES: COMMUNITY, COMMUNITY, COMMUNITY

Recently had the chance to connect with community back home and I’m reminded of how connected we all are and the collective power to resist and defeat the BS that is pushed upon us (pollution infrastructure, false solutions, etc) and in our ability to BUILD the realities that we deserve.

Beth Bafford to leave Climate United as legal battle with Tr*mp administration drags by Amy Cortese for Impact Alpha

The Take: It’s been over a year since many of the GGRF awardees were notified by the EPA (or their respective banks) that were funding was frozen or rescinded. Make no mistake - this has been incredibly damaging to job creation, sustainable manufacturing, and lowering energy costs. One of the leading orgs to push back against this was Climate United, under the leadership of Beth Bafford. While the battle still plays out in the courts, orgs like Climate United are still finding ways to push the work forward.

Climate Deniers Expected More Resistance to Tr*mp’s Fossil Fuel Blitz by Rei Takver for DeSmog

The Take: Not gonna lie - this was pissed me off when I read it! There is broad trend in corporate spaced to embrace β€œclimate hushing” and the worst offenders are those with the least to lose. There is an argument to be made that it is more important to β€œdo the work” rather than β€œtalk about the work” but alas, in this moment of time, giving an inch = giving a mile ending the endangerment finding

❝

β€œIn my 26 years of being focused on climate, I’ve never seen anything like this.Β Trump is gutting everything they ever stood for….Billionaires are silent. D*mocrats in Congress have been silent. Climate activists. There has been no push-back on this,”

- Marc Morano, a long-time climate denier
